1. These terms

Noma (the desktop app for Windows and macOS, the Android and iPhone apps, the relay and matching services, and this website) is provided by the Noma team ("we", "us"). By installing or using Noma you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Noma.

2. Who can use Noma

• You must be at least 13 (or older if your country requires it). If you are under 18, use Noma only with a parent's or guardian's permission.
• Builders is only for adults (18+). By using it you confirm that you are 18 or older.
• You must not use Noma if we have banned you, or if the law where you live forbids it.

3. A free beta, as is

Noma is free and still in beta. We provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows: we don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, secure, or fit for a particular purpose. Features may change, pause or be removed, and we may stop offering Noma at any time. If we ever charge for something, we'll tell you clearly first, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

4. Your account

Linking your phone and using Builders need a free account. Give accurate information, keep your sign-in secure, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time in the app or by writing to us through the Feedback form on our website.

5. Your PC and your AI agents

Noma helps you keep an eye on AI coding agents (such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code or Antigravity) that you install and run on your own computer, and lets you answer their requests and send them prompts, including from your phone.

• You are responsible for what your agents do on your PC, including the commands they run, the files they change, the code they push and the actions you approve or "allow all", whether from your PC or your phone. Read requests before approving them.
• Keep backups and use version control. We are not responsible for lost data, broken code, costs, or other results of an agent's actions.
• Your use of each agent is governed by that agent provider's own terms and limits. Usage numbers shown in Noma are estimates read from the agents and may be wrong.
• If you connect GitHub, you're responsible for what is done with that access; you can revoke it any time at github.com/settings/applications.
• Keep your paired phone secure. Anyone holding your unlocked, paired phone can answer your agents.

6. Builders rules

Builders connects you for short 1:1 chats with other people who are coding right now. To keep it good for everyone:

• 18+ only.
• Be kind. Disagree about tools all you like, but respect the person.
• No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or discrimination.
• No sexual content, and nothing that sexualizes anyone.
• No sharing private info: not your own sensitive details, and never anyone else's (addresses, phone numbers, passwords, keys, private code or documents) without their permission.
• No spam, ads, scams, phishing, malware or links meant to trick people.
• No impersonating others, and nothing illegal.

You can leave, block or report anyone at any time. A report sends us up to the last 50 messages of that chat so we can check what happened. Other people are not checked by us in advance, so be careful about what you share and whom you trust.

7. Using Noma fairly

Don't misuse Noma or its servers. In particular, don't:

• try to get into accounts, devices or data that aren't yours, or get around encryption, pairing or bans;
• overload, attack, scrape or probe our relay, matching service or website, or use them for anything other than Noma;
• use Noma to break the law or anyone's rights, or to send others content they didn't ask for;
• resell Noma or pass off a modified copy as Noma.

8. Suspension and bans

We may warn you, limit features, suspend or ban your account, or block access to Builders or the relay, if you break these terms, if we reasonably believe you put others at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it's reasonable we'll tell you why. If you think we got it wrong, write to the Feedback form on our website. You can stop using Noma at any time.

9. Other services and content

Noma shows and links to content and services from others: games from Poki, news from Google News and publishers, books from Project Gutenberg, and the AI agents and GitHub you connect. They have their own terms and privacy policies, we don't control them, and we aren't responsible for their content or availability.

Noma is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, OpenAI, Anysphere, Microsoft, Google or Apple. Product names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to say which tools Noma works with.

10. Ownership

Noma's software, name, Noma the elephant and design belong to the Noma team. We give you a personal, free, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use the apps for as long as these terms apply. Noma includes open-source components under their own licenses. What you create and send stays yours. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, code, profits or business, arising from your use of Noma, from your agents' actions, or from other users' behavior. Our total liability for any claim about Noma is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (zero, for the free beta) or 50 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud or, where applicable, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

12. If you cause a problem

If you break these terms or the law while using Noma and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover the reasonable costs that result, to the extent the law allows.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without giving up any protection you have under the mandatory laws of the country where you live. We'd rather sort out problems directly first: please write to us before starting any legal action.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Noma changes. We'll change the date at the top, and for important changes we'll tell you in the app or by email before they apply. If you keep using Noma after that, the new terms apply.
